The KLPT Inspiration

Everyone has a story that should be told and be heard. We at KLPT are undoubtedly more interested in hearing yours and our hope is that if you’re reading this, one day we will. Here we dive into a few parts of our story; into a few of those who contributed to the inspiration behind creating Kristin Liebl Physical Therapy. Through the beautiful people in these pictures below, we learn about life, resilience and connection.

Meet Chad, my big brother

We call him the connector. Because that is exactly what he did. Chad always made you feel instantly comfortable and welcomed; and no matter what, he had you laughing. In March of 2018, our lives were drastically changed when Chad was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, aka Lou Gehrig’s disease. In the 11 months following his diagnosis, Chad taught us so much about life, resilience, and the importance of connection. He lived greatly and kept us laughing all the way to the end even when he could no longer talk. We witnessed how incredible a journey can be, navigating the healthcare system when you have strong support and resources. I like to think my big brother continues to work through me; I aspire to connect like he did and to provide support and resources to those facing challenges in life with health and navigating the healthcare system. How grateful we are to have been impacted by such an incredible man, my big brother!

Meet Dr. Margery Oaklief, aka Marge

My adventure in physical therapy began with meeting Marge in 2002.

Meet Kathy Pico, my friend

Through meeting Kathy, we learn that no matter the obstacles, the language or the culture, that what is most important is mindset, human spirit and connection. When Kathy lost her left leg to osteosarcoma over 10 years ago, she had never ran or participated in athletic events.
